Mumbai: ‘Bigg Boss 18’ host Salman Khan was recently called out by netizens for blasting contestant Kashish Kapoor and not giving her a chance to share her side of story in the controversial reality show.

In the Weekend Ka Vaar episode on Saturday, Salman slammed Kashish for accusing housemate Avinash Mishra of ‘trying to make an angle’ with her in the Bigg Boss house. The host criticised Kashish, saying how can she blame Avinash when she herself was spotted flirting with him.

Earlier this week, when Sara Arfeen Khan confronted Avinash for flirting with Kashish in the house, Bigg Boss showed a video to all the contestants, in which Kashish was seen flirting with Avinash at the poolside.

Following this, host Salman also scolded Kashish for accusing Avinash falsely and didn’t allow her to give an explanation.

This however, didn’t go down well with netizens and Bigg Boss fans, who in turn questioned the host for defending Avinash and ‘whitewashing’ Kashish’s image.

One user tweeted, “Ab bas mandir banana reh gya hai Avinash ka in Bigg Boss (Now only a temple is left to be made for Avinash in Bigg Boss). Bigg Boss: Mera Devta Mera Avinash.”

Sympathising with Kashish, another user wrote, “I am still feeling Kashish wasn’t wrong at all but she has to listen to makers because if any chance she might get to work in TV that is through these makers only. Poor girl has to face so much.”

Calling out the actor for blasting Kashish, a user posted, “Salman Khan can’t handle strong women.”

Salman also schooled Eisha Singh and Chum Darang for not trusting Avinash and made them apologise to him.

Reacting to this, a Reddit user wrote, “They are casting Avinash in another colors show to whitewashing chal rhi h.”

“Avinash reminds Salman of young version of himself,” wrote another.

“Why did Salman make Chum apologise to Avinash when she already took back her statement? The more they give importance to Avinash, the dumber he looks in my eyes,” reacted another person.

This is not the first time that Salman has defended Avinash.

When Avinash earlier got angry in one of the episodes and was evicted from the house, Salman defended his aggression and advised him to control anger.

Bigg Boss 18 has entered its 14th week. Vivian Dsena, Karan Veer Mehra, Avinash, Rajat Dalal, Eisha and Chum are among the favourites.

The season will end on January 19.
