Mumbai: Salman Khan, known for arriving late on film sets, is apparently trying to change his ‘latecomer’ image.
After completing the first schedule of his upcoming film ‘Battle of Galwan’ in Leh, Salman is now shooting for the second schedule in Mumbai.
Recently, when the actor was on way to the sets at Film City, he got stuck in Mumbai’s infamous traffic. However, without wasting any time, Salman took a lift from local kids on their bike to reach the ‘Battle of Galwan’ sets on time.
“The makers have mounted a huge set in Film City Goregaon, Mumbai to shoot the second schedule of their film Battle of Galwan. While Salman stays in Bandra and Mumbai is infamous for it’s traffic, the actor once got stuck for a couple of hours but as he wanted to reach onto the sets on time, he skipped his car and took lift from the local kids on their bike,” a source close to the project was quoted as saying by HT City.
“His bike was followed by his bouncers and entourage on separate bikes. Since Salman wrapped his face to hide his identity, the kids later come to know that the guy who they dropped to Filmcity was Salman, they were on cloud nine,” the source added.
The second schedule of the film, which started on October 10, is expected to finish by November-end.
Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, ‘Battle of Galwan’ will see Salman playing the role of an Army officer.
The war drama is based on the 2020 Galwan Valley clash between Indian and Chinese troops.
