Balasore: The swab samples being carried in a bus for COVID-19 test were destroyed as the vehicle met an accident with a truck in the district on Friday.
According to sources, the bus was going to Bhubaneswar to deliver the samples when it had a head-on collision with an incoming truck at Khantapada. The drivers of both vehicles are absconding while the helper of the bus has been admitted in critical condition in hospital.
The samples for COVID-19 test were being taken from the District Headquarters Hospital in Balasore to Bhubaneswar, the sources said.
