Bhubaneswar: The minor boy, who was saved from drowning in Kuakhai river near the city in the morning, succumbed while undergoing treatment in the Capital Hospital later.
The boy along with his three friends of Bankuala village had gone to the river for a bath. While taking bath, the boy slipped into the deep water and started drowning.
As his friends shouted for help, some locals informed the Fire Brigade which reached the spot. The Fire personnel rescued the boy and admitted him in the Capital Hospital in critical condition.
