New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Monday sought status reports from Delhi, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Assam over the spike in coronavirus cases in these states.
“We are hearing of a huge spike in the current month. We want a latest status report from all the states. Worse things may happen in December if states aren’t well prepared,” the top court said while hearing the issue on its own, NDTV reported.
The court further directed the states to file the status reports on the present situation, management of patients and steps taken to ease the situation in their respective jurisdictions within two days.
The Supreme Court will again take up the case for hearing on November 27.
