Balasore: A student reportedly died a day after being beaten up by his school teacher in Odisha’s Balasore district.
As per reports, the Class X student was engaged in a quarrel with one of his classmates in Bansidhar Vidyapitha at Kuligaon under Khantapada police limits in the district on Saturday. On coming to know about it, the teacher reprimanded them and also allegedly beat them up severely.
On Sunday, one of the students complained of chest pain and was rushed to a nearby hospital by his family members. But the doctors in the hospital declared him brought dead.
The deceased student’s family has lodged a complaint at Khantapada police station and staged a demonstration in front of the school demanding stern action against the school teacher.
