Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government is set to launch a Sports Talent Search to help them develop into future sports stars of the state.
The Sports & Youth Services department of Odisha is inviting registrations from students in the age group of 8 to 18 years.
The department has also invited coaches or physical education teachers (PETs) to register so that they can support the state government in identifying and mentoring sports talents.
For registration, students have to visit the website www.department.sportsodisha.gov.in.
The last date of registration is January 15, 2022.
Selection in the programme will be based on trials to be conducted in phases.
Students who get selected can enrol in sports hostels, or join the coaching programmes to be conducted by Sports & Youth Services department without enrolling in sports hostels.
