Security Forces’ Presence Ensures Development In Maoist-Hit Areas Of Odisha, Says BSF DG
Bhubaneswar: The presence of BSF in interior Swabhimaan Anchal (cut off area) has inculcated a sense of security in the local population and developmental schemes of government through the security forces can easily reach them, said Pankaj Kumar Singh, DG BSF.
Singh alongwith by Rajwinder Singh Bhatti, ADG, ANO, Arjun Singh Rathore, DIG/PSO, Officiating IG, Odisha Frontier and other senior officers visited Maoist affected Company Operation Base (COB) at Janbai and newly established COB at Gurasethu in Malkangiri district on Thursday.
DG BSF was received by Sanjay Kumar Singh, DIG BSF Sector Malkangiri along with DIG, SWR and Malkangiri SP at Janbai. The DG interacted with the troops and praised their hard work and dedication in the fight against Naxalism effectively.
“Being a disciplined and professional force, BSF can handle any situation and complete assigned task with desirable result,” the DG BSF said.
During a review of present security scenario in Maoist affected areas of Odisha, he appreciated the coordination between BSF and Odisha police.
The DG BSF also had a meeting with chief minister Naveen Patnaik on general security scenario in BSF deployed Maoist belt.
