Mumbai: Mahindra is all set to launch its Innova-rivalling MPV, the Marazzo, on Monday. Here’s all you need to about the company’s latest offering:
- The Marazzo will come in 7 or 8 seat configuration and has the captain seats option just like Toyota Innova Crysta.
- The company is claiming an industry first roof-mounted ‘surround cooling system’.
- It will be Mahindra’s first monocouqe chasis, hence car-like stability and handling capabilities unlike most SUVs that have ladder mounted frames. It is also the most spacious car from the company till date.
- It is going to be powered by a 1.5-litre diesel engine mated to a six-speed manual transmission. It is likely that a petrol option will not be introduced now, and so is an automatic transmission.
- Mahindra is revamping some of its showrooms (115 out of 395 for now) and upgrading to a ‘World of SUVs’ branding. Unlike Maruti’s Nexa, there won’t be separate showrooms but premium vehicles will have dedicated spaces. The selected dealerships will now have separate reception and an enhanced digital experience for the high-end products.
- The Marazzo is expected to be priced around Rs 10-15 lakhs, considering that it will be sitting in the gap between the Maruti Ertiga and Toyota Innova Crysta.
- It will have a large 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system along with Apple Carplay and Android Auto.
