Severed Head & Torso Of Youth Found In Odisha’s Sundergarh

Sundergarh: Police have recovered the dismembered body of a youth from the bank of River Ib in Sundergarh district.

According to sources, villagers first spotted the severed head, torso and a leg of the victim near Bandhapali under Sadar police limits and alerted police on Wednesday night.

Sadar Police said the identity of the decease is not yet known.

They have sent the mutilated body for forensic tests and also started an operation to search for the other body parts.

In a similar case last month, the recovery of a headless body of a woman on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar had created quite a sensation. Police could finally identify the victim and arrest the accused following a thorough investigation.
