New Delhi: The Delhi shoot of ‘Cocktail 2’, featuring Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna, has been delayed following the blast near Red Fort on November 10.
The shooting of the film’s next schedule was to commence in the national capital on November 12. However, toxic air in the city and Monday’s blast in a car played spoilsport.
“Shahid along with Kriti and Rashmika were supposed to shoot in Delhi from November 12. The makers had planned a detailed schedule in Delhi for seven days starting from November 12,” a source close to the project was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times.
“Well, the air pollution crisis is one of the reasons. And then the heightened tension after the Delhi blast has also led to the decision. The team had also planned a schedule in the Old Delhi area… So, there are multiple reasons that have added to the reason behind the decision. That being said, the Delhi schedule is not cancelled but just pushed. The makers are now planning to do the shoot in December, if all goes well,” the source added.
The ‘Cocktail 2’ team had plans of shooting around south Delhi, central Delhi and the university belt.
The makers will keep a close look at the situation and take a decision at the end of this month.
Directed by Homi Adajania, ‘Cocktail 2’ is the sequel to the 2012 hit film ‘Cocktail’, which starred Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone and Diana Penty in lead roles.
The sequel has a fresh cast, featuring Shahid, Kriti, and Rashmika.
