Sharp Fall In New COVID Cases In Bhubaneswar; Death Toll Mounts To 400
Bhubaneswar: After reporting over 400 new infections for two consecutive days, Bhubaneswar on Saturday saw a sharp fall in daily caseload with 332 people testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
The city had reported 443 and 419 new cases on Friday and Thursday respectively.
The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) informed that 70 of the new cases are from quarantine and 262 local contacts.
Khandagiri reported the highest of 20 new infections followed by 19 from Nayapalli, 14 from Patia and 13 from Dumduma.
While four more deaths were reported during this period, another 716 patients of the city recovered from the deadly disease.
With this, Bhubaneswar now has 2106 active cases. The toll has mounted to 400.
