Mumbai: Shilpa Shetty, who had stayed away from the spotlight since her husband Raj Kundra’s arrest in an alleged porn video case, is likely to make an appearance during a COVID-19 relief fundraiser event.
To be hosted by Rajkummar Rao, this videothon will be live-streamed on a social media platform and attended by Bollywood and international stars like Karan Johar, Saif Ali Khan, Parineeti Chopra, Dia Mirza, Arjun Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, Ed Sheeran and Steven Spielberg among others.
The virtual event titled We For India: Saving Lives, Protecting Livelihoods, is slated for August 15.
The proceeds from the event will be utilized on oxygen concentrators, cylinders, ventilators, essential medicines, and ICU units and supporting the staffing of vaccination centres, The Hindustan Times Reported.
Shilpa has even taken a break from the reality show Super Dancer 4, which she judged along with Anurag Basu and Geeta Kapur.
Last week, the Hungama 2 actress had issued a statement and urged everyone to respect her family’s privacy, for the sake of her children–Viaan and Samisha.
