Canada: Several gunshots were reportedly fired outside singer Prem Dhillon’s residence in Canada apparently by the Jaipal Bhullar gang for betraying late Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala.
In a viral post soon after the attack, the Jaipal gang claimed responsibility for the attack and alleged that they targeted Dhillon because he had initially supported Moosewala but later turned against him by teaming up with jailed gangster Jaggu Bhagwanpuria.
The post further alleged that Dhillon pressured Moosewala to withdraw from a music contract with him with the support of the gangster.
After Moosewala’s death, Dhillon had penned a song to gain sympathy, alleged the Bhullar gang.
The gang also warned Dhillon that his association with Jaggu Bhagwanpuria would not be tolerated and the attack on him should be taken as the final warning. “If you don’t change now, no one will be able to save you no matter where you run,” read the post.
Meanwhile, Prem Dhillon, who rose to fame with hit songs like ‘Boot Cut’, ‘Old Skool’, and ‘Majha Block’, has not released any official statement regarding the attack or the allegations made against him.
In September last year, shots were fired outside singer AP Dhillon’s house in Vancouver, Canada and the Lawrence Bishnoi gang had taken responsibility for it.
On May 29, 2022, Sidhu Moosewala was shot dead by unidentified assailants. Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar and a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, claimed responsibility for the murder.
