Jaipur: Demented people seem to be surfacing in different parts of the country with disturbing regularity.

In another gruesome and horrific incident similar to the Shraddha Walkar murder case, a man from Rajasthan allegedly killed his aunt, chopped her body into pieces and dumped them at different secluded areas in Delhi, reported PTI.

The man, identified as Anuj Sharma alias Achitya Govind Das, has been arrested and a full-fledged probe is underway, informed Rajasthan Deputy Commissioner of Police (North) Paris Deshmukh.

Police said Anuj and his aunt were alone in the house on December 11 when the former wanted to go to Delhi, but the woman refused, resulting in a heated argument.

The accused himself informed police that his aunt was missing. During interrogation, however, the police found contradictions in his statements and got suspicious.

“During the probe, we came to know that he had killed his aunt using a hammer and cut her body into pieces using a knife and a marble cutter. He then dumped them (the body parts) in secluded areas of Delhi,” Deshmukh told ANI.

Most of the body parts have been recovered, the police added.

Last month, Aaftab Poonawala strangled his live-in partner Shradha in Delhi, chopped her body into pieces and threw them in forest areas.
