Sidhu Moose Wala Murder: Unhappy With Probe, Father Wants To Leave India
Ludhiana: Sidhu Moose Wala’s father is running out of patience.
Balkaur Singh said on Sunday that his singer-turned-politician son’s killing was a planned murder, but police were trying to show it as a gang war incident.
“My child was murdered in a planned way. Police want to show it as a gang war incident. I’ve sought time from the DGP to hear my problems. I’ll wait for a month… if nothing happens, I’ll withdraw my FIR and leave the country,” Balkaur was quoted as saying by ANI.
Moose Wala was gunned down when he was travelling in a jeep in Punjab’s Mansa district on May 29, a day after his security was cut down by the AAP-led Punjab government.
Goldy Brar, a member of Lawrence Bishnoi gang, claimed responsibility for Moose Wala’s murder.
Jailed gangster Bishnoi, believed to be the mastermind behind the assassination, has been interrogated in the case.
Punjab and Delhi Police have arrested a number of people, including Bishnoi’s associates.
A total of 24 accused have been chargesheeted.
Mohit Bhadwaj, a member of the Bishnoi gang, was arrested in Chandigarh on Saturday.
