Bhubaneswar: Sisir Ku Ratho has been appointed as the new Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Wildlife) and head of forest force, Odisha.
According to the government notification, he has been appointed in the “Apex Scale (Level-17 in the Pay Matrix) w.e.f the date of his joining the promotional post”.
The 1987-batch IFS officer is currently serving as the Additional DG (FC) in the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change.
He will replace Hari Shankar Upadhyay, who was appointed to the post in September 2019.
Last year, Ratho was given the additional charge of CEO and Member Secretary, National Authority CAMPA (Compensatory Afforestation Fund Management and Planning Authority).
