Six Students, One Teacher Dead in Grisly Road Accident 

Agra: A speeding bus claimed the lives of six students and a teacher, on the Lucknow-Agra Expressway, in the wee hours of Monday. Two others were also injured in the accident, which took place in Tirwa area of Kannauj district.

According to a police spokesperson, quoted by PTI, the students were filling diesel from one bus to another when a speeding bus ran over them.  Seven persons including a teacher and students have died and two others are injured.

The students were on their way to Haridwar when the incident took place. The two injured youth have been admitted to a local hospital and their condition is stated to be critical.

Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has condoled the deaths and announced financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh as compensation to the kin of the deceased and Rs 50,000 for the injured persons. The Chief Minister has also directed the concerned officials to register an FIR in this regard.
