Mumbai: A snake was spotted on the lawn of Shah Rukh Khan’s iconic Mumbai residence, Mannat, on Monday, prompting a rescue operation at the actor’s Bandra property.
Snake rescuer Vicky Dubey was alerted around 8 pm after receiving information that two snakes had been spotted coiled up and moving around the premises.
After receiving the call, Dubey immediately informed Forest Department Round Officer Deepak Dada Gaikwad and the Mumbai Range Office in Thane through the control room.
Upon reaching Mannat, the rescue team found a non-venomous Dhaman, or Indian rat snake, hiding beneath a staircase in the bungalow’s courtyard. The snake was curled up and appeared frightened.
The reptile, which measured approximately eight feet in length, was safely rescued and later released into its natural habitat in accordance with Forest Department guidelines.
Following the rescue, Dubey also briefed those present about the snake and assured them that there was no reason to panic.
However, the second snake managed to escape from the bungalow premises after sensing people nearby.
Earlier this year, a snake was also rescued from Salman Khan’s Galaxy Apartment in Mumbai.
Videos from the incident showed a snake rescuer carefully capturing the reptile and handing it over to the authorities, while officials were also seen assisting with the rescue operation.
On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan is currently gearing up for his upcoming action entertainer ‘King’.
The film will mark his daughter Suhana Khan’s theatrical debut following her acting debut in the Netflix series ‘The Archies’.
‘King’ also stars Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Arshad Warsi, Raghav Juyal and Jaideep Ahlawat in key roles.
