Jammu: A search operation is underway for an intruder after an Indian soldier was injured in a gunfire exchange at Nagrota Army Station in Jammu, the White Knight Corps said on Saturday night.
“On noticing suspicious movement near the perimeter, alert sentry at Nagrota Military Station issued a challenge, leading to a brief exchange of fire with the suspect. Sentry sustained a minor injury. Search operations are underway to track the intruder(s),” the Army tweeted.
Army sources told ANI that there has been no further contact after the initial engagement.

The incident triggered panic initially as it occurred at a time when Pakistan violated ceasefire agreement with drone attacks and artillery shelling in several areas along the Line of Control and International Border, including Nagrota.
