New Delhi: Congress Parliamentary Party chairperson Sonia Gandhi was admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in New Delhi on Sunday due to stomach-related problems.
The 78-year-old Rajya Sabha MP was admitted to the gastroenterology department around 9 pm.
“Congress Parliamentary Party Chairperson Sonia Gandhi has been admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi. She has been admitted to the gastro department due to a stomach-related problem and is under observation,” ANI reported, citing a statement from the hospital.
She was hospitalised for a stomach-related ailment at the same facility in February as well.
Last week, the veteran Congress leader had undergone routine medical tests at Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital in Shimla after she complained of restlessness during a visit to the city.
