Bhubaneswar: The fourth list of the BJD candidates for 36 Assembly seats announced by party president and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday has nine new faces, including the sons of three sitting MLAs.
The candidates for 36 Assembly seats are as follows:

Taking note of the complicity of the two sitting MLAs—Pravat Biswal (Cuttack-Choudwar) and Pravat Tripathy (Banki) in the multi-crore chit fund scam, BJD has picked their sons Souvik Biswal and Debi Ranjan Tripathy respectively for these two constituencies.
Apart from this, the party has decided to replace the sitting Basudevpur MLA and the Forest and Environment minister Bijayshree Routray with his son Bishnubrata Routray for the seat.
The remaining seven new candidates announced by the party are Sudhansu Sekhar Parida-Remuna (in place of Sudarshan Jena), Kishore Nayak- Kuchinda (in place of Bhubaneswar Kisan), Madhab Sardar- Keonjhar (in place of Abhiram Nayak), Premananda Nayak – Telkoi (in place of Bedabyasa Nayak), Sudhir Kumar Samal- Dhenkanal (in place of Saroj Kumar Samal), Jagannath Nayak – Patana (in place of Hrusikesh Nayak) and Satya Narayan Pradhan – Ranapur (in place of Rabinarayan Mahapatra).
Arun Sahoo and Sanjay Dasburma have been given tickets, dropping the plan to engage them full-time in election management work.
The candidature of Jajpur MLA Pranab Prakash Das (Bobby) is yet to be announced.
