Spain Prime Minister’s Wife Tests Positive For Coronavirus

Begona Gomez, the wife of Spanish Prime minister Pedro Sanchez, has tested positive for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), Reuters reported on Sunday.

Earlier in the week, two ministers of Sánchez’s Cabinet had tested positive for the coronavirus.

Spain, which is the worst affected in Europe after Italy, saw a spike in cases with 1,500 new ones on Saturday. The total number of cases in Spain is 6,391 with 196 deaths. Italy has seen 21,157 cases with 1,441 deaths so far. The number of positive cases in Germany and France are 4,599 and 4,469 respectively.
