Bhubaneswar: ‘Bharat Gaurav’ tourist train on a very special tour ‘Shri Jagannath Yatra’ will leave New Delhi on Wednesday.

The train will cover prominent pilgrimage and heritage destinations including Puri in Odisha. The 8-day tour includes visit to Varanasi, Baidyanath Dham and Gaya.

The Bharat Gaurav tour will have its first stop at Varanasi where tourists will visit Kashi Vishwanath temple and Corridor along with the Ganga ghat and Arati. Then the train will move to Jashidih in Jharkhand and tourist will proceed to visit Baidyanath Dham Jyotirling temple. It will depart Jashidih for Puri where the tourists will stay for two nights.

While at Puri, tourists will visit Jagannath temple, Golden Beach, Sun Temple at Konark and temples of Bhubaneswar. After Puri, Gaya will be the last destination where the visit of Vishnupad temple will be covered. The train will return to Delhi on February 1.

Coupled with a state-of-the-art AC rake, the train will have options to board/de-board at Ghaziabad, Aligarh, Tundla, Etawah, Kanpur and Lucknow stations.

This fully air-conditioned tourist train will have 11 3rd AC coaches, one pantry car and two SLR’s. Vegetarian meals will be served on board to the guests in their respective seats from the pantry car. The train has also been fitted with infotainment system for entertainment as well as public announcements. Security features include CCTV cameras and guards for each coach.

Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train launch is in line with the Government of India initiative “Dekho Apna Desh” to promote domestic tourism.
