Bhubaneswar: A special train, carrying flood victims belonging to northern Andhra Pradesh and Odisha, left Kochuveli (Thiruvananthapuram) at 11 am on Monday.
The train will reach Visakhapatnam at 8.35 pm on Tuesday and then leave for Bhubaneswar at 8.55 pm. It will reach Brahmapur in the midnight and chug into Bhubaneswar in the early hours (3.45 am) of Wednesday.
To evacuate stranded people, two special trains from Ernakulam had earlier left for Howrah on Sunday. These will reach the Odisha capital at around 7.30 am on Tuesday.
One special train from Thiruvananthapuram left for Silchar at 2 pm on Monday. This train will also pass through ECoR jurisdiction and is expected to reach Bhubaneswar on Wednesday morning.
