Sports Minister & Co Visit Gold Coast To Gain Administrative Insights of Games
Gold Coast: After successfully hosting Asian Athletics Championships and some of the biggest hockey extravaganza including the World Hockey League finals last year, the sports department headed by Sports Minister Chandra Sarathi are on a visit to Gold Coast to seek insights into the administrative aspects of the Gold Coast Games.
“Team Odisha led by Sports Minister Chandra Sarathi & Odisha Govt officials on a visit to GC2018, Commonwealth Games 2018 to gain insight into administrative aspects of GC2018. The experience will help preparations for upcoming Hockey World Cup 2018, Bhubaneswar,” the official twitter handle of the Odisha Sports Department tweeted.
The group also met some hockey enthusiasts and fans who praised the Odisha Government’s efforts to promote hockey in India and for its pioneering decision to become the first state in the country to sponsor the Men’s and Women’s teams.
