Spurious Country Liquor Unit Busted, 2 Arrested In Odisha’s Berhampur

Berhampur: Excise officials seized a large quantity of spurious country liquor and arrested two persons in this connection in Berhampur of Odisha’s Ganjam district.

According to sources, the enforcement officials of the Excise department carried out a raid on a unit producing spurious country liquor at Baunsiapalli village under Sadar police station on Tuesday.

During the raid, they seized more than 140 litre of the country liquor, duplicate pouches and the machinery used for production of the liquor.

The Excise officials also arrested two persons present in the unit. Further investigation is continuing to know involvement of other persons involved in the illegal trade.
