Srabani, who finished fourth in 100m, stopped the clock at 23.83 seconds in 200m to pip Haryana’s Nancy (23.84) to second place.

Railways’ Nithya Gandhe (23.51) was a clear winner, completing a brilliant sprint double.

It was Srabani’s second medal, following a bronze in women’s 4×100 relay event.

Sushmita Tiga bronze

In the women’s steeplechase final, Sushmita finished third in 10 minutes 43.52 secs. Railways occupied the top two podium places, thanks to Rebi Pal (10:21.28) and Komal Jagdale (10:26.34).

Lalu Prasad Bhoi earlier clinched a golden double, winning the men’s 100m and being part of 4x100m relay team.
