Srimandir Parikrama Project In Odisha’s Puri To Be Completed By December 15!

Bhubaneswar: The 5T and Nabin Odisha chairman VK Pandian reviewed Srimandir Heritage Corridor Project or the Puri Srimandir Parikrama Project in the pilgrim town of Odisha in the early hours of Saturday and directed the authorities to complete the works by December 15.

On the instruction of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Pandian reviewed the progress of the ongoing project from 4 am to 6 am in the presence of Puri Collector, SP and senior officials of executing agencies.

According to a CMO release, he ordered to speed up the restoration work of various mutts in the pilgrim town and suggested for planting trees and shrubs mentioned in the various scriptures connected with the Shree Jagannath culture around the 12th-century shrine. He also reviewed the work of the four doors of the shrine.

The 5T chairman reviewed the progress of Jagannath Ballabh parking works, development of various facilities for commuters, Pramod Garden, and Sri Setu. He suggested employing more people for these works. He also directed for making adequate parking space for two-wheelers for the convenience of the residents of the town.

Besides, he emphasised on shifting of various utilities from Meghnad wall and completing power system work of the bypass project as per the schedule.

This was Pandian’s first review of any ongoing project in the state after being appointed 5T and Nabin Odisha chairman with a cabinet rank in the Naveen Patnaik-led BJD government on October 24.
