Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Vigilance sleuths on Thursday unearthed three gold biscuits, gold ornaments, and Rs 15 lakh in cash from Maitri Vihar residence of Deputy Commissioner, State Transport Authority (STA), Pradeep Kumar Mohanty during raids for allegedly amassing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
The total value of his movable and immovable properties is yet to be calculated, an official release said.
On the strength of search warrants issued by Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar, officials of the anti-corruption agency began simultaneous house searches at nine places in Bhubaneswar, Khurda, Puri, Nayagarh, and Cuttack this morning.
Raids are currently underway at these following locations:
1) His residential house at Maitri Vihar, Chandrasekharpur, Bhubaneswar.
2) Four BHK Flat at Raghunathpur, Bhubaneswar.
3) Farm house at Kusupalla, Ranapur, Nayagarh.
4) Five-storey under construction building at Govindaprasad, Bhubaneswar.
5) House of his native Place at Tangi, Khurda.
6) House of his relative at Bhakti Ratna Lane, Jenari Gachha Chowk, Puri town.
7) Petrol Pump in the name of his relative at Malipada, Bhubaneswar.
8) Building under construction at Balikhand, Puri, in the name of his relative.
9) His office at Cuttack.
