Bhubaneswar: The students should embrace the opportunities to take full advantage of the resources as the evolving nature of business today calls for a fundamentally different kind of leadership, Governor and Chancellor of state universities Dr. S.C Jamir said while addressing the inaugural session of the commencement day programme for fresh batch of BBA & B.Com students (2017-18) of Birla Global University (BGU) here on Friday.
Birla Global University Vice Chancellor Dr. Sudhakar Panda extended a warm welcome the esteemed guests, new students and parents on this occasion. In his welcome address, the VC described the Governor as a distinguished diplomat, an eminent educationist and a value-based statesman.
Addressing the students, guest of honour Associate Director at Ernst & Young John Francis said the aspiring professionals need to be focused and committed towards attainment of their career goals. He said with fast changing technology, the students need to be adaptable and quick learners.
Dean of BGU School of Management Dr. P. Nayak administered the Pledge of Honour Code to the students.
