Sunday Poem: Remembering
Sometimes you come with an unheard tread
And slip into my heart.
Sometimes your unfelt touch soothes away heartache
Sometimes an unspoken word
Halts my impetuous tongue.
Sometimes I see with your wise eyes
The sum of all that is done
And a lifetime of woes
Transforms into sweet effulgence.
I walk your hallowed path
And survive every stumble upright.
Even if you slipped away into the light
Your shadow mingles daily with mine.
Even if they say you are gone
The joy of your presence spills over.
As I live you a little bit everyday!
