Sushant Singh Rajput & Rhea Chakraborty Most Searched Celebrities Of 2020: Yahoo India

Mumbai: Late actor Sushant Singh Rajput and his girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty were the most searched celebrities in 2020, reported Yahoo for India on Tuesday.

According to a report in News18.com, the search engine’s Year In Review (YIR) for India, gives an idea about the top newsmakers and events, on the basis of anonymized daily search habits of users.

Bollywood actor Sushant, who was found dead at his Mumbai residence on June 14 this year, emerged as India’s ‘Most Searched Personality’ in 2020.

Besides the actor, several political personalities made to the top 10 list this year.

Since 2017, for three consecutive years, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been occupying the first spot in the Yahoo list. However, this year PM Modi slipped down to the second spot.

Meanwhile, SSR’s girlfriend, actress Rhea bagged the third spot followed by Rahul Gandhi, Amit Shah, Uddhav Thackeray, Arvind Kejriwal, Mamata Banerjee, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kangana Ranaut.

In the ‘Most Searched Male Celebrity’ category, Sushant bagged the first spot, followed by Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan, Irrfan Khan and Rishi Kapoor.

In the ‘Most Searched Female Celebrity’ category, Rhea bagged the first spot, followed by actress Kangana Ranaut, Deepika Padukone, Sunny Leone and Priyanka Chopra.

In the ‘Top Newsmakers’ of 2020 category, PM Modi bagged the first spot, and Sushant and Rhea jointly occupied the second spot, followed by Rahul Gandhi at the third place.
