Mumbai: Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s drastic step of ending his life has invoked mixed emotions.
While some suspect foul play in the actor’s death, others have accused Karan Johar, Alia Bhatt and others in Bollywood of nepotism and hypocrisy which they feel played a part in Sushant’s decision to commit suicide.
Amidst this public outrage, Swara Bhasker has come out in support of Karan and Alia, and slammed netizens for blaming the celebrities for Sushant’s death.
Swara took to social media and stated that Sushant didn’t leave any suicide note, which means he didn’t want to share the pain he was going through.
Trolling and boycotting Karan and Alia for their comments about Sushant on an old chat show is unfair, she added.
Here’s what Swara tweeted:
Parts of India Twitter blaming #KaranJohar and #AliaBhatt for the tragic suicide of Sushant – for some silly game played on a frivolous and pointless chat show (that All those people who are now abusing Bollywood nepotism lapped up) is both the height of idiocy and hypocrisy! 1/n

Sushant didn’t leave a note. We don’t know what he went thru. We don’t know the cause. STOP taking out ur frustration using the pain of a troubled person. He didn’t leave a note! Get it? He didn’t want to talk about it. He’s gone. Let him have his peace & his family privacy. 2/n

Swara’s tweets didn’t go down well with Sushant’s followers, who started trolling the actress.
