Srinagar: Two persons were reportedly injured after suspected terrorists opened fire on a group of terrorists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. The Army and J&K Police have cordoned of the area and search and rescue operations are in progress, an official said. The injuries have not yet been officially confirmed.
According to a source, the attack was carried out at the picturesque Baisaran Valley – a tourist attraction. The attack comes at a time when the number of tourists is going up in the Valley, ahead of summer.
This attack also comes ahead of the Amarnath Yatra that is to start in July. Further information is awaited.
