Tapaswini-Sumit Case: After Odisha Court Orders Her To Stay At In-Laws’ House, Father-In-Law Leaves
Berhampur: In a new twist, the father-in-law of Tapaswini Dash, who has been ordered by court to stay with her husband Dr Sumit Sahu at her in-laws’ place here in Odisha’s Ganjam district, left the house on Thursday night.
According to reports, Sumit’s father left their house in Brahmanagar here on Thursday night. Reportedly, he released a video, in which he said that he was “feeling unsafe. In the past, she has filed false cases against us. We’re scared. Will return once safety is assured.”
On January 4, the district and sessions court here ordered that Tapaswini will stay with her husband at her in-laws’ place in Bramhanagar. Sahu will pay Rs 17,000 per month to her to meet her expenses, the court ordered.
The court also ordered Dash to give a receipt of the amount she receives for her monthly expenses.
The couple is locked in a marital dispute, which played out in public and drew media attention.
