Mumbai: Tata Motors has bounced back, reporting a 21.6 per cent rise in domestic sales for August 2020 over the previous year. With 35,420 units, there has been a month-over-month increase of 154 per cent in passenger vehicle sales.
Tata’s most expensive SUV Harrier has posted an impressive 167 per cent increase in sales with the numbers reaching 1,694 units in August 2020.
Tata’s commercial vehicle division isn’t doing that well with sales reduced by 28 per cent to 17,889 units from 24,850 sold the previous year.
Tata also recently bagged an order of 150 Nexon EVs from the EESL. The government department will procure the electric Nexons at Rs 14.86 lakh each, Rs 13,000 cheaper than its ex-showroom price.
