Balangir: Police seized 20 logs of teak wood from a vehicle at Turekela village in Balangir district on Friday.
Tiped-off regarding wood smuggling, a police team raided the area and intercepted a van carrying teak wood logs. Two persons were arrested from the spot while another managed to escape.
The police have started interrogating the duo and attempting to trace out other people involved in smuggling of teak wood, a police officer said.
In a separate incident, thousands of litres of kerosene, petrol and diesel were seized by police in Jatni while being transported from an Indian Oil depot here.
