Kandhamal: Vigilance sleuths on Thursday arrested Tehsildar of Raikia, Chakradhar Padhi, in Odisha’s Kandhamal district for taking bribe.
He was arrested on the basis of a complaint filed by one Senapati Pradhan of Mandakia village.

According to sources, Padhi had demanded Rs 40,000 from Pradhan to release a stone-loaded tractor engaged in MGNREGA work. The bribe money has been recovered.
Search of the office and official residence of the accused at Raikia are on. Details are awaited.
