Bhubaneswar: People in Odisha will continue to wake up to foggy mornings till January 24, following which there will be a slight fall in the night temperature.
The mercury will plummet by 2 to 4 degree Celsius thereafter, the Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre bulletin said on Wednesday. It has also issued dense fog warning for several districts in Odisha.
January 22 and 23
Dense fog is very likely occur at one or two places in Bhadrak, Jajpur, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Khordha, Kendrapada, Sonepur, Deogarh, Sambalpur, Balangir, Angul, Dhenkanal, Koraput, Kandhamal, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh districts.
January 23 and 24
Dense fog is likely at one or two places in Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Deogarh, Khurda, Jagatsinghpur, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Boudh, Sonepur, Nayagarh, Puri, Kalahandi, Koraput, Keonjhar .
The MeT has also issued warning for the farmers as the dense fog is likely to engulf one or two places in Bhadrak, Jajpur, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Khordha, Kendrapada, Sonepur, Deogarh, Sambalpur, Balangir, Angul, Dhenkanal, Koraput, Kandhamal, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh in the next 24 hours.
On Wednesday, the lowest temperature of 8.2 degree Celsius was recorded in Malkangiri while the Odisha capital was warmer at 16.1 degree Celsius.
