Berhampur: Amid the possibility of the second wave of COVID-19, the Ganjam administration on Monday decided to keep all temples and other religious institutions closed till December 1.
The Unlock 6.0 guidelines had given the powers to local magistrates/municipal commissioners to take a call on the reopening of places of worships in their respective jurisdictions.
The administration has also decided to impose restrictions on feasts and playing of music at various picnic spots.
This apart, government officials have been asked to spend 50 per cent of working hours in the office and the rest time on field visits.
‘Mo Gaon Re Tehsil’ programme will be conducted in all villages for the next three months, the meeting decided.
