Bhadrak: Tension ran high at Bhadrak district headquarters hospital on Tuesday following the death of a patient.
The family members of a minor girl, identified as Debasmita Mallick of Dahipur village under Dhamnagar block in the district, had a heated argument with the doctors and employees of the hospital alleging that the girl died due to medical negligence.
They demanded strict action against the doctors for alleged wrong diagnosis, leading to her death.
On being informed about the incident, a police team rushed to the spot and managed to bring the situation under control after assuring the family members of the deceased of prompt action in the matter.
According to sources, the girl was admitted to the hospital on Monday night after she complained of severe stomach ache. However, her condition deteriorated while undergoing treatment at the hospital and later she succumbed.
