Srinagar: A noted TV actress was killed in a brutal terrorist attack in Jammu & Kashmir’s Budgam on Wednesday evening.
Ambreen Bhat, who plays character roles in TV drama series, was shot at outside her residence in Hishroo Chadoora. Her 10-year-old nephew also sustained injuries.
The two were rushed to the SMHS hospital, with Ambreen in critical condition.
Ambreen succumbed to her injuries. Her nephew, who sustained a bullet injury in her arm, was learnt to be stable.
“At around 1955 hrs, terrorists fired upon one lady Ambreen Bhat D/o Khazir Mohd Bhat R/o Hushroo Chadoora at her home. She was shifted to hospital in injured condition where doctors declared her dead. Her 10-year-old nephew, who was also at home, received bullet injury on his arm,” tweeted Kashmir Zone Police.
The entire area has been cordoned off by police. A thorough probe is underway.
