Srinagar: Terrorists shot as two migrant labourers in the Magam area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Friday.
Identified as 25-year-old Sofiyan and 20-year-old Usman Malik, both from Uttar Pradesh’s Saharanpur, were wounded by the gunshots, but their condition is said to be stable.
The was is undergoing treatment at Srinagar’s JVC Hospital Bemina.
The daily-wage labourers were working with the Jal Shakti Department.
Security forces reached the shooting spot launched a search operation for the terrorists. None has been found so far.
Friday’s attack on non-locals comes 12 days after a doctor and six migrant workers were killed after militants opened fire at a construction site in Sonmarg area of Ganderbal district.
All seven were part of the team working on the Z-Morh tunnel, which will connect Gaganeer to Sonmarg.
