Berhampur: In view of a possible second wave of COVID-19, the Ganjam administration has decided to keep the Tata COVID Hospital at Sitalapalli running.
After day ordering for its closure, Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange in a letter to the Chief Executive Officer of Hi-tech Medical College and Hospital on Thursday said, “Looking into the second wave of COVID-19 infections, you are hereby requested to continue functioning of the Tata COVID hospital with a provision of 55 ICU beds. All other previous conditions to remain unchanged.”
The hospital was to be shut from November 30 following a decline in COVID-19 cases in the district. The collector, in its earlier order, had asked the management not to admit any new cases.
