This Indian Actress Will Play Priyanka Chopra’s Mother In Citadel

New Delhi: Co-director Raj and DK’s Indian instalment of Amazon’s ‘Citadel, which is now being shot, is a prequel to the international version of Citadel featuring Priyanka Chopra. Samantha Ruth Prabhu who stars in the Indian Citadel plays the mother of the character Priyanka Chopra Jonas plays in the international counterpart.

Samantha confirmed she was indeed playing mother to Nadia Sinh, so technically she is playing Mrs Jonas’ mother, E Times reported.

But this is just a technicality. A source explains, “The international and Indian versions of Citadel are set in two different eras. Priyanka’s character is a child in Samantha’s Citadel. It’s like saying Tabu played Irfan Khan’s mother in Life Of Pi. They didn’t even meet during the shooting.”
