Mumbai: Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘Thriller’ featuring two actors from Odisha, Apsara Rani and Rock Kacchi in lead roles, will be released on August 14.
The director took to his official Twitter handle to make this announcement. The movie will be released on two online platforms rgvworldtheatre.com and ShreyasET.com.
The actress also shared the news on her Twitter handle and wrote’ “Wow I can’t wait for all my people to watch my THRILLER.” She is making her debut in Bollywood with this movie.
The trailer of the movie was released at 11 am on July 30. It is being released in at least nine languages, including Odia.

On July 10, RGV had introduced his new heroine Apsara through a series of tweets, while claiming that he had never thought of Odisha as a talent hub for the film industry.
He changed Anketa Maharana’s name to Apsara Rani for his movie ‘Thriller’. The 24-year-old is an actress and model, who made her acting debut with the 2019 Telugu romantic drama ‘4 Letters’.

She has also starred in the bilingual film ‘Patnagarh’, based on the Patnagarh parcel bombing incident. The film was made in Odia and Telugu languages.
On Sunday, RGV shared the first-look poster of his upcoming project ‘Dangerous’ for which he has signed Apsara Rani again. “It is a darkly passionate high-intensity lesbian love story between two women Apsara Rani and Naina Ganguly,” he wrote.
