Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre here on Tuesday issued yellow warning for thunderstorm and dense fog on Wednesday (January 29) and Thursday (January 30).
According to the mid-day bulletin, thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places in Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsingpur, Angul, Dhenkanal, Nayagarh and Khurda districts from 8.30 am of January 29 to 8.30 am of January 30.
The Met office has also predicted dense fog vat one or two places in Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Sonepur, Balangir and Keonjhar districts during this period, besides light to moderate rain or thundershower in North and South Odisha.
From 8.30 am of January 30 till the next morning, dense fog is very likely to occur at one or two places in Angul, Dhenkanal, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Cuttack, Kandhamal and Kalahandi.
On Tuesday (January 28), light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and Angul and at one or two places in the rest districts of North Odisha and Nuapada, Balangir, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Khurda, Sonepur and Boudh, it added.
Angul recorded the lowest temperature of 9.6 degree Celsius on Tuesday.
According to the weatherman, the night temperature is likely to rise by 20C to 40C during the next 2 days across the state and gradually fall thereafter by 20C to 30C in North Odisha.
