Bhubaneswar: Thunderstorm coupled with lightning, gusty wind and rain is likely to hit at least eight districts of Odisha by noon on Tuesday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said in a nowcast warning.
In a message issued at 10.10 am, the IMD sounded a yellow warning for Rayagada, Puri, Balasore, Koraput, Sonepur, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi and Mayurbhanj.
Light to moderate thunderstorm with lightning and light to moderate rain and gusty wind may affect parts of these districts within next two to three hours, it said.
People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places to protect from lightning strike.
