Bhubaneswar: Titlagarh continued to be the hottest place in Odisha as 8 urban centres reported temperature of 40 degree Celsius or more in Thursday.
According to evening bulletin of India Meteorological Department (IMD), Titlagarh registered highest temperature in the state for second day with 42.2 degree Celsius. The western Odisha town has reported 42.7 degree on Wednesday, 41.5 degree on Tuesday and 40.5 degree on Monday.
While the temperature in Jharsuguda was 41.2 degree Celsius, Bhawanipatna and Balangir recorded 41.2 degree each, Boudh 41, Sambalpur 40.1 and Malkangiri and Sundargarh 40 degree Celsius each.
The twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack recorded 35.6 and 34.6 degree Celsius respectively. The seaside town of Gopalpur continued to record the lowest temperature in the state at 30.2 degree Celsius.
The IMD forecast no major change in maximum temperature (day temperature) during next 3 days and slight fall by about 2 degree Celsius in subsequent 2 days in the state. The day temperature is likely to be above normal by 3 to 4 degree Celsius at many places in interior Odisha during next 3 days.
